Coffee, Cars and Cops

It’s National Coffee with a Cop Day — with a Piedmont twist — Cars! Get to know your local officers — while enjoying a cuppa joe and checking out exotic and classic cars driven in from all around the Bay Area.

The idea of Coffee with A Cop began in 2011 launched by members of the Hawthorne Police Department in California. Their objective was to find new ways to interact with the community, encourage communication and build strong relationships. In 2016, the first National Coffee with a Cop Day took place across the nation.  Throughout the years on the first Wednesday in October, law enforcement agencies have taken the opportunity to make meaningful connections, have open dialogue, break down barriers and improve communication by creating relationships within communities over a cup of joe.  The idea has spread across the country to all 50 states! Cars!

Here in Piedmont, we’ve added cars to this tradition. Car enthusiasts from all around are invited to join our police officers for coffee while appreciating exotic and classic cars driven in from all around the Bay Area.  This event will be held September 21, 2019 from 10am to 3pm in the parking lot of the Piedmont Community Center (711 Highland Ave, Piedmont).
