It was a goat rodeo of sorts at the Corporation Yard on Sunday, July 2, as Piedmont welcomed the return of hundreds of the the hillside grazers in what is becoming an annual tradition throughout the Bay Area. Goat herds are increasingly used to clear public lands of potentially dangerous grasses in advance of fire season, and this summer the vegetation is denser than ever thanks to our record-setting winter rainfall.
