POMET: FARM TO TABLE IN OAKLAND

Meet the farmer behind the new restaurant on Piedmont Avenue: Pomet (in the space formerly occupied by Homestead). Aomboon Deasy, a second generation farmer has teamed up with Chef Alan Hsu to bring diners a farm to table experience. At least 75% of the menu will be straight from Deasy’s family’s orchard, K&J Orchards.

ASIAN AMERICAN & PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH

May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage monthand many of the dishes on Pomet’s menu have an Asian influence.  Chef Alan Hsu is Taiwanese American and Aomboon Deasy’s mother is Thai.
