According to the Alameda County Health Department’s COVID-19 dashboard, COVID case counts in Piedmont are up by 21 since last Friday, from 816 to 837. (Reminder: the county often adjusts numbers up or down as they reconcile their data every week so that number may change.)
As cases and hospitalizations drop, the state and county have modified their indoor mask guidance. On March 3, PUSD said that it will enter into a “mask-optional environment” for students and staff, regardless of vaccination status, on March 14.
