According to the most recent update from the Alameda County Office of Public Health on Feb. 12, total coronavirus cases in Piedmont as of today stood at 165, up from 162 earlier this week.
Alameda County’s standing, per the LA Times:
- Virus transmission in Alameda County is rated as widespread by the governor’s reopening regime, which places the area in Tier 1 and keeps many nonessential businesses closed.
- Over the past seven days, the county has reported an average of 351 new cases per day, a 29.6% decrease from two weeks ago. Over that same period, there have been 6.1 deaths per day.
- The number of hospitalizations is decreasing. There are now 230 patients with a confirmed case, a decrease from fourteen days ago.
