The East Bay Agency for Children Auxiliary presents “Once Upon a Gala”

EBAC

"Water Moves Beneath Us", an original oil on canvas by Marin-based artist, Nicholas Coley and one of the EBAC auction items.

The East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC) Auxiliary will host its highly anticipated “Once Upon a Gala” on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at the Berkeley Country Club. Guests will enjoy a storybook evening where twinkling lights, enchanting details, and a touch of magic transform the venue into a world of wonder – all in support of EBAC and the belief that every child deserves the chance to write their own story.

You do not need an invitation to the ballroom to help change a child’s life. The public is welcome to browse, bid early (and often!) at the extensive online auction site, filled with fabulous finds including:

  • A Pinot Paulée – Celebrating Wood Tavern: Honor the legacy of the beloved Wood Tavern before its December closing with an exclusive event featuring premier pours from 15+ Pinot producers and a curated menu of Country French bites crafted by Rich Wood and his talented culinary team, bringing back classic flavors that defined their journey.
  • More than a dozen art and jewelry items including an original large canvas oil painting by Marin-based artist, Nicholas Coley – Water Moves Beneath Us.
  • Russian River Wine Country Experience featuring two private winery tours for 6 people, a VIP tasting, lunch at local favorite Goldfinch, as well as two magnums to take home.
  • Tickets to coveted sporting events including the Valkyries, Niners and more!

Bidding closes Saturday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. HERE

All proceeds from the auction directly benefit EBAC’s mission to improve the well-being of children, youth and families by reducing the impact of trauma and social inequities. By funding trauma-informed care, family resource centers, and mental health counseling, community members who buy or win items are directly investing in a brighter future for over 6,000 East Bay children and families.
