It is the last weekend before schools start in Marin County, and roller skating is free at Marin Center. Roller Disco Daze enters its final weekend with a horror-themed lineup Friday through Sunday.
The event runs from noon to 10 p.m. each day at Lagoon Island at the Marin County Fairgrounds, 10 Avenue of the Flags in San Rafael. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing. Admission is free, and skate rentals are $5.
The final weekend’s theme, “Oh the Horror!” begins Friday with “Stop, Goth & Roll,” followed by “Zombie Night: Skate of the Dead” Saturday and “A Scary Good Skate Night” Sunday.
All ages and skill levels can roll beneath a disco ball to tunes played by a live DJ. There will also be lawn games, food, and art installations, including a giant inflatable skate.
More information is available on the Marin County website.
