San Francisco has expanded its SF LIVE online arts and entertainment calendar to include museums and galleries, city officials announced Friday, adding new features designed to help residents and visitors discover cultural events across the city.
Mayor Daniel Lurie said the expanded platform now offers an interactive event map, neighborhood guides and a personalized itinerary builder alongside listings for music, theater, dance, comedy, museums and galleries.
The platform is managed by the city’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
City officials said the additions are intended to support artists, cultural organizations and local businesses while encouraging attendance at arts events as part of San Francisco’s economic recovery.
Event listings are automatically aggregated from participating venues to provide updated information without requiring manual submissions.
According to the city, the arts sector supports more than 60,000 jobs in San Francisco, with arts attendees spending an average of about $46 beyond the cost of admission at each event.
