From a Piedmont Police Department update on social media:
Just before midnight on May 26, Officer Perez conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operating without license plates. During the stop, he located prescription bottles with altered labels containing suspected controlled substances.
A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of:
– A large amount of marijuana believed to be packaged for sale
– Multiple bottles of Promethazine Hydrochloride
– Suspected methamphetamine, oxycodone, MDMA (Ecstasy), and Xanax
– U.S. currency consistent with street-level narcotics sales
One adult was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail on multiple narcotics-related charges, including possession for sale of controlled substances and marijuana.
The Piedmont Police Department remains committed to proactive enforcement efforts that help keep illegal narcotics out of our community.
