The Blotter | Car stolen from Fairview Avenue

A white Audi A4 was taken from in front of a residence on Fairview Avenue on May 10. The victim reported the vehicle was parked in front around 6 p.m. the day before. She left with her family that morning and when they returned around noon, the vehicle was gone.

The victim said the key may have been left on the center console.


On May 12 at 1:37 a.m., a catalytic converter theft was reported to have occurred at Piedmont Court and Highland Avenue. The suspect, described as an unknown male in a black hoodie, was reported to have taken the part from a 2012 Toyota Prius. The suspect left in a waiting vehicle, according to Capt. Chris Monahan of the Piedmont Police Department. He said the escape vehicle was described as a black sedan, possibly an older model Honda. The loss is estimated at $1,600.


On May 12, Piedmont police found a white 2019 Kia Optima parked at Fairview and Arbor avenues around 7 a.m. A VIN check showed the vehicle had been reported missing in Antioch, according to Monahan. He said the vehicle was towed for the owner.
