The Piedmont High School boys lacrosse team earned a berth in the North Coast Section Division 2 playoffs and will host Las Lomas at 7 p.m. on May 5.
The Highlanders are 6-7 as they enter the playoffs against the 9-7 Knights. Piedmont earned the No. 6 seed while Las Lomas is No. 11.
The Highlanders lost to Bishop O’Dowd 11-6 in the West Alameda County Conference playoffs on April 29. The winner of the Piedmont-Las Lomas match will face the winner of the No. 3 Miramonte-No. 14 Sonoma Valley match on May 7.
