Name: Frank
Family: The Shoops
Age: 6
Breed: Mixed (poodle, terrier, schnauzer, and Chihuahua)
Adoption Story: In 2020, during the COVID lockdown, we were looking for a dog but found shelters empty. Our former nanny came across a free listing on Nextdoor, and when she arrived in the South Bay, found him chained to a front porch next to a dead bird. He was terrified, so we took him in and made him ours.
At first, he was so afraid that he barked at everything he saw. We think it was because he was a COVID puppy with little exposure to people or other dogs. It was so bad we weren’t sure we could keep him. Over a few months, he adjusted and became a beloved member of our family. We adore him and think he’s perfect, even if he still gets a bit barky when strangers come over.

Likes: Frank loves the sun and being warm. He also adores cuddling, eating tuna and salmon, sleeping, and chasing squirrels. Lastly, he’s active, and loves to go on walks as well as play fight.
Dislikes: Frank dislikes being apart from his family when they are away — he gets lonely! He also doesn’t like taking medication, baths, and scary strangers.
Interesting Facts: Frank can yodel! Additionally, he’s allergic to meat. Lastly, he can catch flies.
