Boys golf | Piedmont splits with Alameda, Berkeley

Piedmont High School’s boys golf team split a pair of West Alameda County Conference golf matches in a three-way match at Chuck Corica Golf Course on March 18.

The Highlanders shot a 209, good enough to defeat Berkeley (214) but short of Alameda’s 194.

Piedmont’s Derek Lee shot a 35 on the par-36 course, sharing medalist honors with Alameda’s Dillon Stone. Jackson Van Kleeck shot a 42 for the Highlanders. Niko Kalamas had a 43 while River Bloemker carded a 44. Henry Pfister shot a 45 and Christian Lee shot a 49.

The Highlanders are 3-3 on the season. They are next scheduled to play on March 25 against Castro Valley and Encinal.
