The storybook theme park joined the City of Oakland in recognizing, honoring, and celebrating Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu’s phenomenal achievements. Liu’s two gold medals for her breathtaking, joyful, perfectly executed performance at this year’s Winter Olympics fueled her astronomical rise to global fame, turning her into a worldwide icon.
As part of Oakland’s March 12 “Welcome Home Alysa Liu Celebration Rally,” the 10-acre storybook park’s sign on Fairy Hill — a Bay Area landmark — will read “FairyLiu” for the next three weeks.
