The League of Women Voters of Piedmont is sponsoring a “No Kings 3” rally in Piedmont Park, 711 Highland Ave., Piedmont on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This will be one of many hundreds of rallies across the United States. These rallies are expected to draw millions of people who are concerned about the movement away from a society based on democratic principles, the Constitution, and toward an autocratic government headed by a “king” or “queen” who rules the country based on his or her whims. The rally will include brief speeches, songs, and a walk from the park along Highland Avenue. We encourage Piedmonters of all ages and others to come, experience the camaraderie, and, of course, bring your signs!
The League of Women Voters of Piedmont is a nonpartisan, grassroots civic organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
