Family Names: Zeena Fakoury, Rob, Zane and Dalia Doebelin
Dog Name: Teddy
Age: 8 mos
Breed: Coton de Tulear
Adoption story: We found Teddy through a breeder based in Yuba City. We met Teddy and his two sisters. While his sisters were adorable, they were very shy. Teddy approached us right away and let us pet and hold him. We appreciated how approachable he was and we loved his curious nature.
Likes: Teddy loves playing fetch with his mini tennis ball, but doesn’t quite understand the concept of giving the ball back so he only takes the ball but doesn’t actually return it to you. He also loves crunching on cucumbers, exploring, meeting new people, and other dogs. He’s super curious. One of his favorite activities is getting belly scratches and snuggling with his people. Teddy is a puppy and can get into some trouble sometimes. Tissue boxes and toilet paper rolls are a prime target for Teddy.
Dislikes: Teddy is scared of all mirrors, and any reflective glass, he always thinks it’s another dog. He dislikes large public trash cans, especially the one near Exedra Plaza. He barks at it and refuses to get close so we have to pick him up and carry him.
Interesting facts: Teddy was part of a litter of five dogs. Recently, we had a reunion with his brother and sister. They loved seeing each other and played happily together for a long time. They definitely seemed to know each other. Given their small size, they would run for five minutes then take a 10 minute break in between rounds. Teddy‘s breed is called “the royal dog of Madagascar” as the nobility preferred Coton de Tulears.
