Choose your favorite coffee liqueur and pair it with a fresh, balanced espresso concentrate. That harmony is what makes this sing. I’m not the biggest vodka drinker, but for this beautiful concoction, Skyy or Hangar 1 works perfectly: clean and neutral, allowing the coffee to lead. A subtle expression of orange over the top wakes everything up. It lifts the espresso and adds a quiet brightness without drifting into creamsicle land.
Ingredients
- 1.75 oz Skyy or Hanger 1 vodka
- 1 oz coffee liqueur
- 1 oz cold brew concentrate
- 0.25 oz simple syrup
- 0.5 oz egg white
- 1 strip of navel orange peel
directions
- For that creamy foam, dry shake with intention first without ice.
- Then add ice and really go for it. You’re building texture.
- Use a chilled coupe: when you strain, you should see a tight, velvety layer settle across the surface, smooth and structured.
- Orange Finish: Using one strip of navel orange peel, gently express the oils over the surface of the drink. The aroma should greet the guest before the first sip.
- Garnish: Light cocoa dust and 3 espresso beans
