Girls soccer | Piedmont ends with victory

Piedmont High School’s girls soccer game ended the regular season on a high note with a 2-0 win at Encinal on Feb. 12.

Arden Sorensen-Wald set up Stephanie Lee with a crosser which Lee tapped in for the game’s first goal in the first half.

Sorensen-Wald scored the second goal herself late in the first half. She sent the ball in from way out and got it over the goalkeeper for the goal.

The Highlanders finished the regular season 9-7-2, 4-5-1 in West Alameda County Conference Foothill Division play. They earned the fifth seed in the North Coast Section Division 2 playoffs and are scheduled to host Acalanes on Feb. 17. The winner will play the winner of the College Park-Sonoma Academy match.
