Piedmont Recreation offers summer programming for all ages – from Mini Campers (3-5 years) to Funtopia (grades K-2) to Camp Everything (grades 2-6) and NextGen C.I.T. (grades 7–10) – with expanded options and new additions for 2026.

What’s new for summer 2026

Camp Everything

Camp Everything
Camp Everything returns with an affordable, traditional day-camp experience offered throughout the summer. Families can choose 9am-3pm or 9am-5pm camp days, with free early drop-off beginning at 8:30am to support working families. Last year’s introduction of field trips to destinations like the Oakland Zoo and Alameda County Fair proved so popular that we’ll be offering them weekly this year.

CITs in summer 2025

NextGen C.I.T (formerly VolunTEENS)
We’re expanding capacity and leveling up our Counselor in Training program for teens in grades 7-10. The new curriculum adds practice job-readiness training, including resume building, interview skills, and workplace etiquette. Participants will also earn CPR certification and receive water safety instruction.

This summer, C.I.T.s will support Funtopia in addition to Camp Everything.

Sidekicks adaptive soccer

Sidekicks (programs for neurodiverse children ages 3.5–14)
Adaptive programming options through our Sidekicks program continue to grow, with Sidekicks programming every week and five full-day adaptive camps planned this summer – up from one full-day camp last year. New additions include a full-day “Mindful Movement” camp and full-day academic and sports camp offered the week before school starts, in partnership with NeuroAffirm, to help ease the transition back into the classroom. Families can also combine half-day camps to create a full day of coverage, including the returning popular combination of LEGO (morning), Lunch Bunch, and Cooking (afternoon).
