Residence on Woodland Way hit in afternoon
A residential burglary took place on the afternoon of November 17 on Woodland Way. Piedmont Police Captain Chris Monahan said a suspect or suspects entered the residence through an unlocked front door between 12:30-3:30 p.m.
A maroon leather jewelry box was taken from a dresser. The suspect or suspects then left through the front door. Captain Monahan said the loss was less than $5,000.
On November 15, police received multiple calls regarding a vandalism in progress on Olive Avenue. When police arrived, they found a damaged 2003 Toyota Corolla parked across the street, according to Captain Monahan. He said the vehicle had major damage to the exterior.
The suspects were described as two short in height males dressed in all black. Police searched the area but could not find the suspects. The Corolla turned out to have been reported stolen.
On November 20, a gray 2011 Infiniti G37 was reported stolen from in front of a house on Oakland Avenue. There is no further information.
