The Piedmont Education Foundation is thrilled to announce that they’ve raised $3M for local schools since The Giving Campaign kicked off in late September. With a goal of securing $5M this year — 94% of which will go directly to teacher salaries — they’re aiming to raise an additional $2M during the holiday season.
“In uncertain times, we take care of each other,” says Giving Campaign co-chair Catie Osborn. “We’re so grateful to this community for showing up to support our incredible teachers and students.”
So far, 47% of Piedmont Unified School District families have donated to the Giving Campaign. At 62%, Havens Elementary School has the highest participation levels in the district, followed by Beach Elementary School (53%) and Wildwood Elementary School (51%). Forty-three percent of Piedmont Middle School families have donated, and 38% of Piedmont’s two High Schools.
“We’re aiming for 100 percent participation,” says co-chair Kim Hunter, “Every little bit counts in supporting our teachers and students.”
