Moneyinc.com released an article this year ranking the 30 best suburbs in CA, and taking the top spot was Piedmont.
Lisa: The reason? Its exceptional public schools that consistently rank among the best in the state. So this Halloween, while the community was out celebrating, I decided to ask residents why they think Piedmont schools are so successful.

Insights, stories and interviews about homeownership and living in the East Bay
From a Piedmont native, Emmy award winning television journalist turned Broker Associate at The Grubb Co., UCLA graduate, wife and mother of 3.
Abdullah Kandil: “Piedmont schools are really strong because of the community, the resources, the teachers, and the families.”
Simo Bennani and Dina Berrada: “Because everybody is so involved. Community involvement is so important. And obviously, because of the teachers.”
Brook Meakins: “The teachers will go the extra mile. Emailing you, texting you, calling you, thinking of your kid. We love it here.”
T.J. Won: “I think it all comes down to the community, the parents, the teachers, and then down to the students. It all funnels down from there, and it all comes from love, patience, care, and wanting to make sure the schools are top-notch and the community is all pitching in. There’s no way we’re going to be able to do it with just teachers today. But we need parents and involvement, and everyone’s willing to go the extra mile.
