Rain returns Wednesday, will linger through Friday

National Weather Service SF Bay Area

From the US National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area/Monterey California social media post on Tuesday, Nov. 11:

An unsettled stretch of weather is on the way for the Bay Area and northern Central Coast. After a warm and dry Tuesday, conditions will deteriorate through the day Wednesday — rain develops with a slight chance of thunderstorms and gusty southerly winds returning by evening. The strongest system impact is expected Wednesday night into early Thursday morning as a frontal boundary sweeps through the region. Showers will linger into Friday before tapering off.

The NWS said most areas will see at least 1″ of rain with locally higher totals (2-3″) across elevated terrain in the Bay Area.
