Local with Lisa | Meet your new Piedmont neighbors

One of my favorite parts of real estate is helping clients not only find a house but also become part of the Piedmont community.

Insights, stories and interviews about homeownership and living in the East Bay
From a Piedmont native, Emmy award winning television journalist turned Broker Associate at The Grubb Co., UCLA graduate, wife and mother of 3.

Today I’m hosting an ice cream party so my clients can meet all of their new neighbors.

Chief Frederick Shavies/Piedmont Police: “This is an absolutely incredible event.  You have soft serve, children from elementary school, middle school, high school. You get to know new families especially it’s a great opportunity.   And I’m happy me and my team were even invited.”

Officer Tyler Petit/Piedmont Police: “I love coming to these because it’s a great opportunity for the new owners to understand the kind of service they’ll receive in Piedmont.  Here we respond to every call of service we do provide the best level of service possible but the most important thing is we show up when they call.  So the important thing for me is to meet the residents so they can put a face with the officer that might show up to their house build that relationship that matters most so there’s a trust there and they know that we’re coming.”

“That face-to-face contact is so important because you truly get to know these people on a first-name basis, so this is essentially creating the community as it is today, making these friendships really matter.”
