The City says that around 50 people turned out for New Families Night, one of the biggest turnouts in the four years since they started hosting the event at Community Hall. The event was originally conceived of in 2022 as a way to connect families who moved to Piedmont during the pandemic with each other, as well as with city and community leaders. It has since turned into a new tradition for the city.
City Administrator Rosanna Bayon Moore served limeade and cookies from PRD’s new trailer bar (available as an add-on rental with Community Hall bookings), a “new families bingo” game helped break the ice for Piedmonters young and old to make new friends, and attendees got a chance to meet city and school district officials.
