Family: Edward, Rebecca, Jackson, Juliana, and Smokey (cat) Thornborrow
Name: Lola
Age: 3 years old
Breed: Pit bull mix
Adoption story: Our former neighbor from San Carlos started posting photos of Lola on her Instagram. She was fostering Lola for Copper’s Dream. Lola was the runt of her litter which meant she was extremely small and very adorable. I started a joke with my family that Lola was like Wilbur from Charlotte’s Web and that we needed to save her. It ended up working because we drove home with Lola three years ago.

Likes: Lola loves to have her friends over for playdates in the front yard. She also likes to play fetch with her squeaky balls and to lie in the sun. She loves watching “TV” in Tahoe (chipmunks and birds out the window). She enjoys taunting Smokey to get her to play with her. She also loves her people, food, and belly rubs. She seems to have some kind of hand fetish and absolutely loves licking everyone’s hands.

Dislikes: Lola is not a fan of strangers entering the house and she is very vocal about it with her bark. She also is not a fan of shopping bags and backpacks, as she runs away when we come home from the grocery store. She does not enjoy car rides.
Interesting facts: Lola was a runt and she was very sick as a baby, but she is now a very healthy and strong 46 pound mutt. Lola was raised by our older dog Cali for the first five months of her life in our house until Cali sadly passed away.
