Piedmont Community Service Crew to host kickoff party on Aug. 23

Service Crew members work on a community project.

Piedmont Community Service Crew (PCSC) is hosting their annual kickoff party to start off the ‘25-‘26 Crew year on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

PCSC is a youth-led organization that has served Bay Area communities for over 20 years. Comprised of nearly 150 high school students (or middle school aged from the affiliated Piedmont Service Club), the Crew volunteers at weekly events which are planned, organized, and funded through its members. Popular activities range from building Tiny Houses for unhoused youth to cooking for the food-insecure. In addition, an ongoing program of weekly tutoring helps underserved children in East Oakland.

The annual kickoff party acts as an open house where Crew advisor Ken Li and the fourteen youth leaders share their experiences and answer questions regarding PCSC. This meeting is a great opportunity for prospective members to learn about joining PCSC and for current members to reconnect with the crew community! All parents, middle, and high school students regardless of whether active in the Crew are welcome to attend.

If interested in attending, please complete this event registration form. A response with the location (in Piedmont) will then be sent.
