Neighbors enjoyed a free performance of Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” in Dracena Park on Sunday, Aug. 10 presented by the Vallejo Shakespeare Group.
The performance took place in the quarry area, next to the grove of dawn redwoods.
Established in 2010 by Vallejo resident Dalia Vidor, Vallejo Shakespeare in the Park produces one live Shakespearean production each summer presented in outdoor settings free to communities around the San Francisco Bay Area. Vallejo Shakespeare in the Park has performed in Vallejo, Crockett, Martinez, Oakland, Piedmont, and Benicia. This performance marks the fourth appearance of Vallejo Shakespeare in Piedmont. Previous stagings include The Winter’s Tale (2023), Hamlet (2022), and Henry V (2019).
