BBQ Without Borders returns to Oakland Museum on August 2

Back by popular demand! Join us on August 2 at the Oakland Museum of California for BBQ Without Borders – No Immigrants No Spice’s signature summer event celebrating the bold flavors and vibrant cultures that immigrants bring to the Bay Area and beyond.

This beloved, family-friendly event draws hundreds for an unforgettable day of food, live music, exhibits, performances, and community joy, raising funds to support the East Bay immigrant community, in partnership with The Unity Council.

This years stellar culinary lineup features Anthony Salguero of Popoca, the team from Café Colucci, and Maria Marquez of Tacos Mama Cuca (all named to the Chronicle’s 2025 Top 100 list!) plus dessert by Third Culture Bakery and beverages on site.

This year’s theme – “Toward A Greener Future” – pays tribute to deep roots and the green futures we’re cultivating together, uplifting immigrant voices as leaders in climate and culture.

Tickets are limited, and all past BBQs have sold out – get your tickets today.
