Spotted on Sandringham Road this morning, a giant limb of a horse chestnut tree split from its trunk and lay across the sidewalk.
“The tree appeared to be in fair health,” said the city’s Director of Public Works Daniel Gonzales in response to our query on Tuesday, “but upon inspecting the break we observed evidence of rot in the area of the limb break. Consequently, we will be removing the tree in the next few days.”
