Community members should sign up — or confirm their registration — for AC Alert before Saturday, June 14, when the Piedmont Fire Department will hold a community wildfire evacuation exercise and preparedness town hall starting at 9 a.m.
The exercise will consist of a practical evacuation drill in the Blair/Scenic/Alta neighborhood and an at-home exercise for the rest of the community. The at-home exercise is designed to be simple, easy to complete, and high impact. Instructions will be delivered via AC Alert, the emergency notification system for Piedmont and Alameda
County.

This exercise in intended to help residents improve their own readiness to evacuate in a wildfire, while providing an important opportunity for first responders to test protocols. The more community members participate, the more resilient our community will be.
On the morning of June 14, the Fire Department urges everyone to:
• look for an AC Alert emergency notification around 9am
• follow the instructions in your alert
• come to the Fire Station at 10am for a community debrief
