The Alameda County Registrar of Voters released its latest election count on the evening of November 6. There was little change in the Piedmont races from the results on Election Day.
California ballots postmarked by Election Day are to be counted if they are received by the county by November 20.
In the race for the Piedmont Unified School District Board of Education, Hilary Cooper remains in third place, 178 votes ahead of Jason Kelley. The top three vote-getters will be elected. Incumbent Cory Smegal leads with 4,051 votes, Veroncial Anderson Thigpen is next with 3,172 followed by Cooper (2,397) and Kelley (2,219). Hari Titan is fifth with 1,492 votes.
City council can be said to be decided. Jen Cavanaugh (4,541) and Conna McCarthy (3,730) have been elected. Connie Herrick is third with 1,106 votes followed by Sunny Bostrom-Fleming with 262.
Measure TT, which would increase the real estate transfer tax, still is short of the 50 percent plus one it needs for passage. There are 3,047 no votes and 2,900 yes votes.
Measure UU, which would allow the city to issue bonds to rebuild the pool, is winning with 4,088 yes votes compared to 1,892 no votes. At 68.4 percent approval, it is above the two-third threshold it needs for passage.
According to Piedmont City Clerk John Tulloch, the results so far reflect approximately 6,000 out of 7,693 ballots in Piedmont.
