PADC to hold community meeting on equity

The Piedmont Anti-Racism and Diversity Committee (PADC) will hold a community meeting on Wednesday, April 30 at Havens Library at 7 pm. Everyone is invited to attend.

The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the recent attacks on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Businesses such as Google, Target, Walmart, Meta, and Uber have rolled back their initiatives. Schools have been threatened with funding cuts if they don’t end their programs. And people are being targeted because of the color of their skin, gender, religion, beliefs, and immigration status. Attendees will be encouraged to share concerns and brainstorm ideas — both big and small — for how our community can respond.
