Boys lacrosse | Piedmont takes tough loss to Berkeley

Highlanders now 1-5 on season

Piedmont High School’s boys lacrosse team knew it would suffer some growing pains this year as it attempts to get back to the top level in the East Bay. On March 28, the Highlanders lost to Berkeley at Witter Field, 14-4.

Connor Fredericks had two goals while Timmy Kalamas had two assists. P.J. Brayer and Ian Nguyen had one goal apiece.

Liam Knudsen, Satchel Wells and Paul Burns each had three goals for the Yellowjackets. Ivan Watson had two and Ty Manning, Sam Larner and Hayden Hockenbrock each had one.

Piedmont is now 1-5 on the season, 1-1 in West Alameda County Conference play. The Highlanders were next scheduled to play on April 1 at Lick-Wilmerding-San Francisco. They will host Bishop O’Dowd on April 4.
