Help inform the selection of new playground equipment at Linda Beach Tot Lot by sharing your preferences at one of two upcoming open house events:
Linda Beach Tot Lot Equipment Replacement Open House
Thursday, Jan. 30, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 1, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Linda Beach Tot Lot, 360 Linda Avenue
At these drop-in events, playground users will have an opportunity to learn about the equipment replacement project, talk to the project team, and share their preferences and priorities for the new playground equipment.
We’ll ask attendees to share their thoughts on topics like:
• what they like most about coming to the Tot Lot
• which types of equipment are most important
• balance of active versus quiet play
• choice of playground surface (samples of options will be available)
For tot lot users who are unable to attend either event, an online feedback opportunity will be available next week.
In addition to replacing the aging playground equipment at Linda Beach Tot Lot, this project will:
• create ADA access from Linda Avenue to the playground
• resurface the playground with ADA compliant matting or turf
• install a new water fountain or bottle filling station
Funding for this project was included in the FY2024-2025 City budget and includes a $100,000 donation from the Piedmont Beautification Foundation.
