Haunting scenes pop up in Piedmont as Halloween nears

Front yards in the city have taken on a decidedly haunted look in recent weeks, with grave stones, skeletons of all kinds, and other creepy themes dominating as Oct. 31 nears. The weather service says there’s a slight chance of rain on Thursday, but — fingers crossed — it shouldn’t be enough to affect trick-or-treating.
