The Piedmont Education Foundation’s Giving Campaign is proud to announce the return of Catie Osborn and Kim Hunter as co-chairs for the 2024 campaign following their highly successful leadership last year. In 2023, Catie and Kim spearheaded efforts that raised an impressive $3.5 million for Piedmont schools. This year, they are aiming even higher, with a renewed commitment to ensuring every family participates in supporting the education of Piedmont’s students.
“We’re excited to be back for a second year,” said Catie Osborn, mother of two Havens Elementary students, with a third child entering Kindergarten next year. “It’s great to be back for a second year. Kim and I are so much more knowledgeable about what it means to co-chair the Giving Campaign, and we believe that this will help us raise even more money for our schools.”
Kim Hunter, a parent of middle and high school students, is equally dedicated to boosting parent participation in the Campaign. “This year, I really want to focus on parent participation by making sure 100% of our families make a gift to the campaign,” Hunter said. Every contribution matters, no matter the size. It’s about ensuring that every child benefits from the strong support of our community.”
The 2024 Giving Campaign launches on September 24. The theme, “Supporting Their Journey,” highlights the essential role that Piedmont parents and the broader community play in guiding students from transitional kindergarten through high school graduation. From daily activities to long term planning, this support is essential to the success of each student.
The funds raised by the Giving Campaign play a vital role in shaping the educational journey for Piedmont students. It is one of the most powerful ways to help ensure that our schools continue to provide exceptional education and opportunities for every student. Last year’s campaign set a high benchmark, but Catie and Kim are confident that this year’s efforts will exceed that goal, thanks to a renewed emphasis on community involvement.
“We want every family to feel empowered to contribute in a way that’s meaningful to them,” they emphasized. “It’s the collective strength of our community’s support that makes a lasting impact, and this is only possible through parent participation.”
