Today’s kittens Cashew and Peanut are looking for ‘forever homes.’ They’re currently being fostered by a family in Piedmont. Read on to learn more about how to welcome them to your home.
Names: The gray kitten is Peanut, and the black-and-white is Cashew.
Ages: Peanut is about 12 weeks old, and Cashew is about 5 weeks.
Breed: American shorthair
Why are they in foster care: Their caretaker passed away and they needed a foster until they can find a new loving home.
Favorite napping spot: Peanut and Cashew love to snuggle up together in their basket or relax on the big armchair in the guestroom. They also enjoy stretching out in the late-afternoon sun on the floor.
Favorite toys: They love the cat toys that our kids made using craft supplies, string, and dowels from the hardware store.
Interesting facts: Peanut has the most amazing golden eyes. She is very calm and gentle and has such a soothing purr. She is the oldest of the two and acts like Cashew’s big sister. Peanut is a bit timid at first, but she loves cheek scratches and will snuggle right up whenever she gets them.
Little Cashew is very lively and loves to explore and discover new things. He looks so handsome in his black-and-white tuxedo coat! Cashew enthusiastically approaches the world and is always searching for fun—he loves to play.
Next steps: We would love to find a wonderful and loving home for these two cuties. Please email Adopt.Peanut.Cashew@gmail.com if you would like to meet them! Adoptions are through the Milo Foundation: www.milofoundation.org. One kitten’s adoption fee will be sponsored if they are adopted together.
