PUSD working on eight facilities projects over the summer

The long-awaited track resurfacing on Witter Field is underway.

Facilities Director Pete Palmer delivered an update to the Board of Education on June 26 on eight projects underway across the district this summer. They include:

Havens playground work starts July 8 and is funded by the parents club ($35,000)


Re-roofing project at PMS and PHS using state school facilities funds ($1.3 million)


District-wide HVAC assessment funded by a CalShape grant ($270,000)

HVAC replacements @ PMS and PHS using state school facilities funds ($1 million)


Witter track resurfacing using state school facilities funds ($5 million)


Beach play structure replacement and resurfacing — paid for by Beach Parents Club — is complete. ($200,000)


Modernizing one classroom and hallways at MHS using PUSD’s routine maintenance fund. ($20,000)
