- Contra Costa County health officials are seeking volunteers to be “contact tracers” to research the connections between people who have tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus and others who may have potentially been infected.
- Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Monday that he is reopening the carmaker’s facility in Fremont on Monday against Alameda County public health orders amid the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and said he is willing to risk arrest to do so.
- Hiring in the Bay Area is down 25 percent since February when concerns over the coronavirus started ramping up in the region, according to Joint Venture Silicon Valley and data from LinkedIn.
- The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors punted Tuesday on a potential extension of the county’s temporary moratorium on evictions for residents affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The board is now expected to discuss the moratorium extension during its May 26 special meeting, scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
