Established 48 years ago, East Bay Open Studios is one of the first programs in the country to offer such an annual, free, family-friendly self-guided tour of artists’ creative work places. The event connects the public to art where it happens: in unexpected places, at art galleries, through art tours, at artist open studios, and during live mural painting. EBOS serves hundreds of artists annually and represents 12 cities throughout the East Bay. EBOS artists are painters, sculptors, ceramicists, glass and metal workers, jewelry makers, and multimedia artists.
