PHS: Rising Figures fashion show

Come see Rising Figures, the May 11 event put on by PHS’s Feminism Club and the Repurpose the Runway club. Rising Figures is a fashion show, complete with a runway, that highlights 10 people for their involvement or leadership roles in working with women, people in the LGBTQ community, people of color, and so many more.  Each honoree will wear creatively repurposed clothing to emphasize sustainability and the importance of protecting our environment.  The students’ goal is to raise $2,000, which will be combined with the proceeds raised at a benefit concert the following weekend.  The concert is put on by a student organization called Magnify the Muted.  All combined proceeds will go to Bay Area Women Against Rape.
