Paintings by Michael Stehr | Piedmont Center for the Arts – Exhibition Opening

The exhibition entitled “Made in the Shade, Celebrating Trees: Some of Mother Nature’s Greatest Sculpture,” by Piedmont native Michael Stehr opens Friday, November 15.
Additional gallery hours: Saturday and Sunday, November 16 & 17 and 23 & 24 | 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
The show features 35 new paintings, many depicting trees as objects communicating atmosphere and light. Both structural and vaporous, the tree’s form conveys mood and personality in Stehr’s work.
“I am grateful that our world is sprinkled with these wonderful objects with soul,” Stehr said.
